OGUN STATE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY IGBESA was established in 2005 with proactive effect from 29th June, 2006. Gateway Polytechnic Enabling Law No: H. B. 29/OG/ 2005, was passed by the Ogun State House of Assembly. The law empowers the Institute to confer National Diploma and Higher National Diplomas, Certificates and other academic distinctions on individuals who have pursued a course of study approved by the Institute under supervision of our regulatory body (National Board for Technical Education).

It gladdens our heart to inform you that, the Institute is located in Igbesa at Km2, Oba Adesola Market Road, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government of Ogun State, the Local Government with the largest number of industries in Nigeria, where most of the big manufacturing companies in Nigeria are located.

With our track record of consistently rich culture of academic excellence, our graduands will mostly like benefit from the privileges on over by these companies.The Institute is accredited by the National Board of Technical Education.

The Institute is also an accredited center for CISCO as an Information Communication Technology (ICT) where professional courses and certificates in Essentials, CCNA 1,2,3,4 and CCNP are undertaken.

Date of Establishment just like the mustard seed, the dream of Ogun State Institute Technology, Igbesa (OGITECH), formerly Gateway (ICT) Polytechnic, Igbesa (GPI); was planted through the former Governor, His Excellency Otunba Gbenga Daniel in the heart of Ogun-West Senatorial District which had no evidence of Government presence in terms of State-owned tertiary institution with the official commissioning of the Institute's plaque on Thursday, 29th June, 2006.
